We are very pleased to announce that we have spoken with a very talent up-and-coming special effects make-up artist from Newark, Ohio. Though our discussion was brief, we feel that she is the perfect person for this production team. As such, we will no longer be seeking a Special Effects Make-up Supervisor, as we feel that position has been filled. Once she has given us permission to use her name on this site, she will be added to our CREW page and any subsequent Make-up artists we hire will work directly under her. Her natural ability (no formal training) is something that cannot be taught in any classroom. We are confident in putting our confidence in her ability.
In 1999, late horror director Andrew Copp released one of his most well-known and controversial films before his death. The mutilation man has been called many things by critics, but it has always held a soft spot in our hearts. We are hoping to secure the rights to do a remake of the film and his honor. We have spoken to executive producer Tom Lee, who also starred in the film, and was very good friends with Mr Copp. We have to find out who holds the rights now since Andrew's death, and we really want to pay homage to this incredible director.
So we are in the process of finalizing the screenplay for A Fetish of Flesh, and I'm pleased to say that we are quite sure that it is going to be one of the bloodiest films to come out of independent horror Cinema in the past 25 years. Some of the scenes that we have are ones that are definitely going to push the boundaries of anything we ever thought we would push, but we are more than ready to do so. We believe that we have a script that will not only help the horror genre evolve, but we'll also give a shout out to horror movies that have gone by and stood the test of time. Many of the scenes, according to people who have seen screenplays made into films, would likely receive an x-rating in Hollywood with very little nudity and a whole lot of gore. We are all highly pleased with how the screenplay turned out in the progress the story made during the time that we have been writing it. After 10 years in development, we believe that we are ready to move forward and begin pre-production.

The character of Serenity from A Fetish of Flesh has become a popular character with readers of the script despite having yet to appear on screen. Tom Lee described her as a cross between Baby from House of 1000 Corses and Ivan from Andrew Copps' The Mutilation Man. She is a sadistic woman who bounces between causing pain to others and causing pain to herself. In one graphic scene from the screenplay, she murders her mother during Sunday mass and crucifies a priest before burning the church to the ground. It's made all the more disturbing when the teenage Serenity explains to the priest his fate, delivering a speech that would give Charles Manson a nightmare or two. "Pray, Father. Pray. Pray all you want. God can't hear you. He abandoned you at the very sight of me," she tells the screaming priest. She continues, "He's a f****** coward. I am the daughter of the darkness, the darkness he cast aside. And that darkness loves me. Wanna know how I know, Father? (As the preacher continues to scream) He's gonna let me watch you f****** burn." This scene paves the way for Serenity's rejection of God, establishes her glee at creating Chaos, and her love for macabre speeches. But as evil as she is, the screenplay shows events of her past that, believe it or not, make us sympathize with her. She becomes an anti-heroine. A character that, regardless of her actions, one cannot help but want to see survive.
After near five years, Freddie Meade has completed his second draft of the horror film A Fetish of Flesh. It has been a very long road and, hopefully, it will pay off. The next draft will be the final draft, he assures his readers, many of whom feel the story needs no further adjustments. "You never know it can be improved until someone actually does it," he told us with a sly smirk as he wrote the words "FADE IN" atop a page of a new document.
